Steve Michon Steve has created strategic plans and economic analyses for more than 50 private, public, and nonprofit clients. He brings extensive experience in project management and a wide ranch of research and analytical skills to the Mt. Auburn team. Much of his work focuses on industry sector analysis, employment market research, and program evaluation. Stephen has worked with Mt. Auburn since 1997. Most recently he led the firm’s economic development plan for the City of Nashua and a labor-industry strategy for the City of Savannah. He is currently managing a regional needs assessment and indicators project for Mount Wachusett Community College and the United Way of North Central Massachusetts. One of Stephen’s other areas of work includes the advancement of private-public partnerships for regional economic development. In 2005 he finished a national project that examined the role of chambers of commerce in economic development in 30 of the largest metropolitan regions. The final products included a nationally-released report, speaking and presentation engagements from Alabama to Texas to Massachusetts, and follow-up technical assistance to chief executives.
Closer to home,
Stephen serves on the Board of his city’s Business and Industrial
Development Authority and has been involved in developing state level
policy to promote business growth through R&D tax credit legislation. He
